Nature Connects®, Art with LEGO® Bricks

For the first time since 2015, Nature Connects®, Art with LEGO® Bricks returns to Denver Zoo with more than 15 nature-inspired creations by Artist Sean Kenney. The award-winning exhibit invites guests to connect to nature and the world’s vanishing species through life-size and larger-than-life plant and animal sculptures, placed throughout the Zoo and made entirely of LEGO bricks.

Sean Kenney is a renowned, award-winning artist and “professional kid” who uses LEGO bricks to design and create contemporary sculptures for high-profile clients, major corporations and venues around the globe for more than 15 years. His traveling exhibitions have been touring North America, Asia and Europe since 2012, heralded as “an incredible exhibition” by Lonely Planet that Vogue say is “bound to make visitors stare.” Sean has also authored nine acclaimed children’s books, including “Building Amazing Creations” and “Cool Creations in 101 Pieces.”

It took Sean and his staff months and nearly 1 million LEGO bricks to create the sculptures, which feature a number of vulnerable, threatened and endangered species, including a snow leopard, monarch butterfly, whooping crane, coral reef, jeweled chameleon, black rhino, African lion and polar bear with her three cubs.

Please note – to help protect the community from the spread of COVID-19, Denver Zoo has new measures in place to ensure the safety of its guests, employees and animals. Tickets are limited and will be ONLY available online. All guests ages 3 and over are required to wear a facemask or covering as mandated by the City and County of Denver.
